Next's response to unpaid wages at Orient Craft Fashion Industries (on behalf of Next, Jojo Maman Bebe and Reiss)

Thank you for contacting Next with regard to allegations about Orient Craft - Ranchi. This is an active factory for Next. We were aware of the worker protests that took place in April 2026 in relation to wages not being paid on time. Since then, we have been in regular contact with the factory management team to ensure that the workers were paid. We have reviewed evidence to confirm that payments are now up to date and all owed wages have been reimbursed. Statutory social security payments for the months of March, April and May have also been paid.

We have received assurances from the factory that wage payments will be made in full and on time and our own on-the-ground team will review this on a regular basis.

In relation to your question about tariffs, our business teams have regular conversations with our suppliers in India to understand the impact and explore opportunities for mitigating that impact.
