Indonesia: Civil society report urges action to address human rights and environmental abuses in palm oil industry, incl. co. comment

South Korean civil society organisations have urged the Korean government and corporations to address human rights violations and environmental destruction linked to the palm oil industry in Indonesia. Amid rising concerns, Samsung C&T’s Indonesian subsidiary, PT Inecda, was found by the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) to have violated sustainability standards by infringing on indigenous rights.
