The incident took place during a lightning storm that affected the area, according to the statement released by the company.

According to official information, the victim was identified as David Anaya López, who was carrying out duties on the upper part of a hill near the mining facilities when he was struck by lightning. Alongside him was his coworker Alfredo Espinoza Gutiérrez, who sustained injuries but received immediate medical attention and is reported to be out of danger.
